Welcome to Under One Roof

Under One Roof is a service for people who want to rent a home in St. Helens, Merseyside. It has been developed by St. Helens Council, Helena Partnerships and other housing associations who operate in St. Helens. Many housing association properties are now let in this way. This means that if you want to rent a home from a housing association that is part of Under One Roof, you will need to join the scheme so that your need for housing can be assessed

IMPORTANT NOTE :  We are changing our website shortly and in order to be considered for housing after 15th March you will need to register and complete a new application form on the new site. 
If you do not require rehousing urgently you may wish to wait and register on the new site.

Under One Roof Application Process

When you apply to Under One Roof your application will be assessed straight away on the information you provide and you will be live to bid.

If you make a successful bid you will be contacted and given 48 hours to provide the relevant supporting documents. These include ID, Proof of address, Landlords reference, proof of income, bank statements and any information from support agencies and or Probation / Police  

More changes to Housing Benefit/Universal Credit

The government has announced a change to Housing Benefit and help with rent through Universal Credit. This will take effect from April 2018. You may be affected by this change if your tenancy is dated from 1 April 2016 or after (or from 1 April 2017 or after if you are in supported housing).
