How do I know if my bid is successful?
If you are successful...
When the closing date has passed, we will look at all the people who have applied for a property and offer the property to the person in the highest band who has been waiting the longest in that band. If you have made a successful bid on a Helena Homes property we will contact you to check the details we hold on file are correct. If there are any changes which you have not already reported to us this may mean that we are unable to proceed with the offer of accommodation. Some properties we advertise may still be undergoing routine maintenance and you may have to wait to view the property.
If your details are correct you will be invited to view the property with a lettings officer and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You will also be given further information about the property and the location. After the viewing you will need to decide if you wish to accept the property. You do not have to accept it if you don't want to. However, you will need to tell us why you do not want to accept it. Once you have accepted the property arrangements will be made for you to sign up.
Under One Roof also advertise properties on behalf of other housing associations. If you are successful with your bid on one of these properties we will check your details and then pass your information on to the housing association for them to process your details.
We will always aim to complete offers before the time the next bidding cycle starts. Offers may be withdrawn if it is found that information about your circumstances is not true or you haven't told us about changes in your circumstances.
If you
are not successful...
If you have not heard from us before the next bidding cycle begins then you will unfortunately have been unsuccessful.

Please don’t let this put you off bidding
again. It is important that you bid regularly. You can make another
three bids the next time we advertise our homes.

Publishing Results
We will publish results of properties recently let, including the successful applicant's band, how long the applicant had been waiting to be re-housed in that band and how many bids were placed on the property. We will only publish results once we are notified that a property has been signed up. As some properties we advertise are still undergoing repairs there could be a few weeks before the results appear but we will show them as soon as we are able to.
